Seymour Duncan has been a long runner in the pickup game. They make awesome passive pickups and have revolutionized the design on several occasions. They make a pickup for every kind of music, whether it is rock, metal, blues, jazz, country, or pretty much anything you can think of.

This is Seymour Duncans entry into the active pickup world. By fixing what they considered to be a flaw in "other" active pickup brands they came up with the Blackout. Not only is it suppose to have a higher output, but by correcting the problem they came up with a design that has a better tone. Louder, and a better tone... sounds like something I would check into.

To the right is the "lil 59'" just one of the many humbucker pickups they carry in a single coil housing. This is for the strat player that wants a fuller sound but loves his strat. They create a powerful, full throttle, bright sound, with no modifications needed to the guitar, and if you ever decide to go back to the single coil you can.
